Lesson 11
Dear Fatty,
Thank you for your eleventh message. My comments
and corrections follow.
Sumi massen. In last week's reply, I said we
would talk about the Cash Flow Statement this week.
I was wrong. We will talk about the Role of the
CPA and the AICPA. That lesson is attached.
I am sorry for the confusion.
Sincerely,
Dear
Professor Susan Garreis,
Thank you for your
comments and corrections.
I saw
the link to Maryland university. It has a long history for over 100 years.
>Yes, it is an old university by American
standards.
Young one
and old one’s story I had read from magazine more than once.
Some editions replace K. S. Li or Bill Gates as
the old one.
It very famous. Thank you for your advice.
>That story is told over and over. It is still
true. I heard it as a young one. I have told it often as an old one.
My home
state is SongZi. It's in Hubei Province, but I lived there only from the ages
of one to three years.
I was born in ShangQiu. It's in Henan Province
and I grew up there.
Almost all my relatives live in Hubei Province
and my family comes back once a year.
I have
friends from China go to school in other countries. Canada, England, Cuban,
Ireland and so on, they are almost all learning for Master’s Degree.
I have friends from China who go to school in
other countries: Canada, England, Cuba, Ireland and so on. They are almost all
earning their Master's Degrees.
I don't have friends who are working in other
countries.
Almost all my friends in China are working in
Shenzhen or Shanghai. Some people are working in their home states, too.
Almost no one else works any other place.
>Thank you for that detailed description. I am
surprised at how many people are graduate students in other countries.
>How many languages does a typical Chinese
student learn?
>How many languages do you speak or read?
>I speak, read and write only one--English.
>I can read a little French. That is left over
from high school and college.
>We have many signs in Spanish in the US now.
So I can recognize a word or two.
Thank you
for your comments and corrections and I’m waiting for it.
Sincerely
I am not an athletic person. I love to watch professionals
play baseball, though.
Do you have a favorite sport that you like to play or watch?
>It is
a generous summer break. It is because we were a strongly agricultural country.
Workers (students) were needed back at their family farms to grow and harvest
crops. Even though there are few family farms, we still keep the long summer break.
When I
graduate from the university, I want to work on electronic components.

I want to work on electronic components
because I graduated from Shenzhen collage and Shenzhen is China’s Electronic
Center. In CGU my major is accounting. Accounting can relate to every trade.
There is
not special relate to electronic components.
There is
no special relation to electronic components.
>I
agree that accounting relates to every trade and every business. A knowledge of
accounting will help you in whatever business you enter.
>The
main reason that US new businesses fail is because the owners did not know
accounting. They did not manage cash or assets or liabilities properly.
>I am
glad you take accounting courses.
