Lesson1
Dear Professor Garreis,
Hello!
It is nice to communicate with you.
>It is nice to communicate with you,
Aya. We will learn much from each other this year.
My name is Ayaka Ito. Please call me Aya.
I'm twenty-one years old.
My birthday is May 11th 1995.
I'm born in Iwate and live in Chiba now.
>>How do you get back and forth to school?
One of my granddaughters has a birthday on May 2. She is eleven years old.
I am in the third year at Chuogakuin
University and am a member of the Department of Commercial Science.
>In the US, "third grade"
means someone who is eight years old. A third-year undergraduate student is
usually called a "junior." A fourth year undergraduate student is
usually called a "senior."
I work parttime as a cashier in a supermarket.
I enjoy the conversation with the visitor.
>I am sure you do! What is the most
interesting conversation you have had with a customer?
I like short hair-style.
Because I have a short hair and am short, I
am sometimes mistaken for a boy.
Me, too! I have short hair, and most of the time wear a plaid jacket, baseball hat and jeans. I am often mistaken for a man. It's funny!
Thank you for reading my self-introduction.
I'm waiting for your reply.
Sincerely yours,
Aya
