Lesson 10

Dear Taka,
Thank you for your tenth message. Welcome back from your summer break. My comments follow.
Sincerely,
Prof. Sue Garreis

Dear Professor Garreis,

Hello, how are you?

I am fine, thank you

I'm fine thank you.

I'm glad you are fine.

I usually spend summertime at my house, because I study Bookkeeping and Financial Statements.

The results will not be announced until December.
Is this what you wanted to say?
No matter when the results are announced, good luck!

I helped at the Bon festival and played games after the finished examinations.
What is the Bon festival?
What games did you play?

In addition, I went to a "rikunabi festival," and there saw or heard many talks about enterprises (job opportunities).

In what city did you attend the rikunabi festival?
Did you stay there all day?
Did you wear casual clothes or did you dress up?
Where there many other students there?

So thanks to the festival I have many more thoughts about job hunting.
Do you have a better idea of what companies you would like to talk to?

In addition, I met high school friends and teachers I had not seen for a long time.
It is fun to see them again, isn't it?

So we ate lunch and cake, and went to karaoke.
What songs did you sing? Did you sing alone? Did you sing with your teachers?

I had a nice time.

Good.

I feel my English is weaker than before.

At least, I think that is what you meant. Right?

I will devote myself to English.
OK. Please tell me when you do not understand something.

Please teach me English this semester.
I will!

I'm waiting for your reply.

Sincerely, taka
