Dear Prof G,

Thank you for your reply and corrections of my English.

I will answer your last question.

You are most welcome, Nao.

I hope you enjoy your summer break too!!

It is summer vacation in the US now. Schools started their summer break at the beginning of June. In the US summer break ends in August.

My summer break is good so far.

I'm waiting for your reply.

Sincerely. Nao

For the first time in my life I went to a jousting tournament today

(Saturday). Jousting is the official sport of Maryland.

A man, woman or child rides a horse fast.

The rider carries a long stick with a fine point (a lance).

Three small rings are tied to arches on the rider's path.

The rider puts the point of the lance through the rings while riding fast.

It is not easy.

The rider needs strong legs to hold his body slightly above the saddle.

The rider needs a strong arm to hold the lance steady while riding the horse. The rider needs great eyesight to see the small ring.

The rider must concentrate hard on piercing the ring.

The horse must be well trained and fast.

It was fun to watch.
