Dear Nao,

Thank you for your fourth message.  My comments follow.

Sincerely,

Prof Sue Garreis

Dear Prof G,

This is Nao.

Thank you for your reply and corrections of my English.

I sent an email from my home. I 'm sorry that an answer is late.

Sending from home is fine, Nao.  Your answer was not late.  By my definition, a student reply is not late if I receive it before I send everyone else's message.  But my definition may differ from Prof. Shiina's.  His counts.  Mine doesn't!

This week I will send a copy of my reply to your home and school.

Do you want me to send to both places every week?  It is no trouble.

I will answer your last question.

This week the big business news is that the New York Stock Exchange and Euronext merged.  There is now a global stock

exchange.  It is the first trans-Atlantic stock exchange.  It will be a very big exchange.  The market capitalization is fifteen

billion Euros (EUR 15,000,000,000) or twenty billion US dollars (US$20,000,000,000).

The next lesson is about the first financial statement--the Balance Sheet.  It shows the financial position of a company on a certain date.  We will study the balance sheet for two lessons.  The first balance sheet lesson is at:
