Thank you for your reply and the corrections of my English.
1. As far as I know almost Chinese people don’t need to research ancestors. Because we have a traditions that is several generations to live together or live near each other means happiness. As far as I know, most Chinese people don't need to research their ancestors, because it is traditional for several generations to live together or near each other. This tradition results in happiness for all the generations. So Children usually live with their grandparents or great-grandparents. A lot of children were raised by their grandparents, because their parents are so busy with work.
This way of life is common in China.
I was raised by my grandparent until I was seven years old.
Thanks for your detailed response. I thought that the need to research
genealogy might not exist in China because several generations live
together.
In the US, frequently both parents work. But the parents bring their
children to daycare instead of to their parents or grandparents. The
grandparents of the young children are either working or live far away.
The great-grandparents are far away, too ill to care for children or
are dead. So children are raised by unrelated girls (care givers) in
daycare.
2.I had an exciting experience when I’m 17 years old.
That was my first time to hold and see a newborn baby.
She is my first cousin. She was so small and not like human.
What an exciting experience! Brand new babies do not look like people,
that's for sure. Do you still see your first cousin or is she in China?
