Most links are cold.  The new lesson and the old lesson links are hot.

The July 4th holiday link is hot.

You can use this page (1) if you are absent from class or (2) to go back to a lesson at any time.

Sincerely

> Yes,@it@isD

Do you like fast roller coasters?

What other roller coasters did you ride?

Are there many roller coasters in Japan?

There are very many roller coasters in the US.

The Tower of Terror is my daughter Kate's favorite roller coaster ride.

It is supposed to be an elevator that goes up and then drops straight down fast.

This web page tells about the ride: http://www.themeparkinsider.com/parks/detail.cfm?Attraction=72

The ride is at Disney World in Florida.

>  Homework:

>   1. How is the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission different from Japan's Securities and@Exchange Commission?

>

I think this is what you said: The US and Japanese SECs are very similar.

There are some similarities and some differences.  The US SEC requires much more disclosure than the Japanese SEC.

The US SEC requires a different type of disclosure from the Japanese SEC.

>   2.@How are American stock exchanges different from Japan's stock exchanges?

I think this is what you said: The US and Japanese Stock Exchanges are very similar.

Japan's stock exchanges are in these cities: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Kyoto, Fukuoka, and Sapporo.

Have you visited any of the stock exchanges?

Where can you see a ticker showing the current activity on any stock exchange?

A ticker is a scrolling banner that shows current stock prices, and how many shares of a stock were traded.

It is high on a wall so everyone can see.  It looks like a long, narrow TV screen.

In the US you can see a ticker in any broker's office.  You can see a ticker on the CNN TV channel during trading hours.
