Very well, thank you. How are you doing?

The Balance Sheet is the statement of a business's financial position on a

certain date.

"stockholder's" should be "stockholder's equity." "Puls" should be "plus."

The definition is correct. It is the owner's share of assets after all

liabilities have been paid.

Why not? How many times did you try? Please try again. What error message

did you get when you tried? The link is correct. Perhaps the server was down

for maintenance when you tried. Remember, when it is day in Japan it is night

here. Servers are maintained at night.

That is a correct definition of current assets.

Redeemable Preferred Stock is a long-term liability. It is not a current

liability. Items above the "total current liabilities" line are current

liabilities. The first one that Nike lists is "Current portion of long-term

debt." That means how much of the long term debt Nike has to pay this year.

That is a correct definition. What is the value of the current portion of

the long term debt for 1999 for Nike?

Thanks for sending the vocabulary list.

I think you do not have Acrobat installed on your computer. Perhaps we could

experiment with that this year.

The lesson helped me to understand accounting.

The rainy season is here.

Japan's rainy season is very damp.

The dampness makes me ill.

> Does your inhabittine place exist the rainy season?

No, we do not have a rainy season as you do. Other parts of the US have a

rainy season, but it is still not as bad as yours. This year, however, we

have had much rain. That makes the mold grow. That makes my allergies very

bad. I take lots of medicine this year!

Our change of seasons is less clear every year. We hardly have spring any

more. It goes right from winter to summer. I do not like that.

I like winter best because I ski. Winter is the season for skiing.

I like fall best, because the colors are beautiful, the days are cool and the

nights are good for sleeping.

Taka, today is Father's Day. It is a day we honor our fathers. Later today I

will call my father. Here is a web site on Father's Day:

http://www.holidays.net/father/

Is there such a holiday in Japan? How do you celebrate it?
