Dear Waka,

Thank you for > The first message sent on > Date: 15 May 98 15:51:55.

Every week I will send your message back to you. The lines with words

you wrote will have ">" at the beginning of the line. Lines with my

works will not have ">" at the beginning.

My corrections of your English will be under your sentences. I will

usually rewrite the whole sentence.

I will also make comments on what you tell me each week. I will try to

keep my comments short!

Each week we will send a new lesson. The lessons are usually abut

accounting in the U.S. However, this week the lesson is about

technology. I use Netscape Navigator as my Internet browser. I use

Word97 to type documents. This message has two attachments. The

attachments are identical. One is sent as a Word97 file. The other is

sent as plain text. Please tell me if you were able to open the

attachments. If yes, please answer the questions. If you can open both

attachments, please answer only one set of questions.

Waka, will you teach business subjects to the junior high or high school

students? In the U.S. students in junior high and high school must be

in class for 180 days of the 365 days in a year. Here, students start

school in September and end in early June. They have three months of

summer vacation. Will your students have a three month break between

school years?

A U.S. school day is typically 6 hours long. Will your students be in

class for more than 6 hours a day? Will you teach in a private school

or in a public school?
