The sixteenth message

Dear Professor Stiner.

Thank you for your message and English corretion.

It thought that last week was an end.

Therefore, I am sorry to become a funny message.

However, it is glad that a message can be sent again.

The rest was for no less than 1998 years and for 1 more month.

This year, it was a year to dislike English a little and which disappeared for it self.

An experience like this class could be done, and it was really good.

It is lonely to become the end at the next week.

It is being made a message pleasure.

See you next message.

Have a nice weekend

sincerely yours

Miyu

Dear Miyu,

Thank you for your comments. They will improve the course for the

next students.

This week was a short week for most Americans. All schools and

many businesses are closed on the day after Thanksgiving. The stores

opened at 6 a.m. for the beginning of Christmas shopping.

On Thursday, we had Thanksgiving Day, where Americans thank God

for their blessings. The traditional meal is turkey, potatoes, corn,

bread, and pumpkin pie for dessert.

My wife, Susan, made the Thanksgiving meal. Everyone was here;

that is, our four children, three grandchildren, and the girl friend of

one son (she brought candied sweet potatoes). The kitchen was so crowded,

I never sat down, and Kate, Sue and Fred had a line of chairs in front of

the cupboards, helping to feed Megan. Everyone talked at once, of course.

We had mashed potatoes piled a foot high (we measured), two kinds of

homemade biscuits, three different desserts, including homemade pumpkin

pie from a pumpkin we grew two years ago; three kinds of ice cream; etc.

We had a fire in the fireplace. By 6 p.m., my daughter, Kate, was asleep

on one sofa in the family room; Fred asleep on the other; and Megan asleep

in the playpen.

I did the clean-up.

Yesterday, I went shooting with #3 son in the morning. We shot

with my rifle, and a new revolver that I just bought.

I have enjoyed working with you these many months. If you visit

the U.S., please come visit us. You can sleep in our family room, like

other Japanese visitors have done before.

Best wishes for the future!
