The sixteenth message
@
Dear Professor Stiner,
Thank you for your message.
Illuminations for Christmas were prepared in Japan.
The illumination is very nice. I am looking forward to Christmas.

I didn't know about Thanksgiving Day.
I looked at Projects & Crofts and Classic Recipes.
These recipes had a lot of illustrations. I admired detailed
explanations of Candle making, Apple-Pumpkin, Frozen Yogurt,
and so on. I may make these dishes.
THE FIRST THANKSGIVING PROCLAMATION was very difficult to me.
@
I realized that I had studied a lot of things.
This class was rich in content.
I enjoyed this course. Thank you very much.
Sincerely yours,
Mayo

Dear Mayo,
Thank you for your comments. They will improve the course for the
next students.

"The First Thanksgiving Proclamation" is hard for me to read too:
it is not what we call Olde English, but it is close to that difficult
language.
@
This week was a short week for most Americans. All schools and
many businesses are closed on the day after Thanksgiving. The stores
opened at 6 a.m. for the beginning of Christmas shopping.
@
On Thursday, we had Thanksgiving Day, where Americans thank God
for their blessings. The traditional meal is turkey, potatoes,
corn, bread, and pumpkin pie for dessert.

This week is the end.
I have enjoyed working with you these many months. If you visit
the U.S., please come visit us. You can sleep in our family room,
like other Japanese visitors have done before.
Best wishes for the future!
